Nothing like a well- reasoned argument by a rational, level headed spokesperson who enjoys working with the media.

Birther business cuts both ways. One thing that is notable is the instant reaction of both the media and individuals to doubt the sanity of birthers ….

Okay, but … not ALL birthers are THIS crazy. Some are less crazy.

It’s possible the entire birther movement is a plant. If this is so, I will have to revise upward my opinion of Obama, who comes across as a hopelessly incapable twit, stage- managed very well by David Axelrod and Rahm Emanuel.

The birthers are quite a distraction from the ongoing coddling of Wall Street tycoons by the hapless taxpayers through the medium of said Obama administration. If the birthers can stay in the limelight for a few more months, the entire country should be safely and thoroughly looted … after which the different markets can crash all they like and the public can suffer … as they also like.

My presidential strategy was to outlaw Christmas, but this birther strategy could be more efficient and avoid the hatred of little boys and girls everywhere …

Providing a distraction is the likely reason for Obama not to end the charade by providing a real birth certificate. Why not let Orly twist in the wind …

There is a danger to Obama in this strategy, there might be enough attention paid by the public that a demand arises for him to produce his long form birth certificate! Appearing to be sidestep or cover- up the issue makes him vulnerable to falling into a credibility gap, the same sort of thing that wrecked Lyndon Johnson’s presidency.

Obama could find himself painted into a corner, being under great public pressure to produce the hated certificate. If he does so under public duress he demonstrates an inability to resist or divert pressure. Questions will arise. If it turns out that the ceritficate does not exist or cannot be found … which is the implication of his current refusal ot entertain releasing it … his presidency will be substantially undermined, if not destroyed. In the middle of great economic disturbance there would be a Constitutional crisis over the legitimacy of the president.

Wouldn’t be the first time, eh Mr. Bush?

Meanwhile, the problems of the real world mount. The step- by- step ratcheting downward of the post- modern Euro- American economic marvel continues at the dead hands of our gas guzzling selves.
